Unique plant for impregnating wood with fire-retardant

Woodsafe Timber Protection’s production facility is located just outside Västerås, Sweden. This plant is the only one of its kind in northern Europe where all operations focus entirely on fire-retardant impregnation of solid wood and plywood.

Woodsafe constitutes an important part of the construction industry’s scope for using wood both outdoors and indoors. The legal precondition for wood to be able to be used in construction is that it has to be fire-retardant and certified. All this is described in BBR and the EU building directive CPD 89/106/EEG. Woodsafe’s products are completely certified in accordance with these requirements.

Personnel working at Woodsafe undergo continuous training both internally and externally so that they are up-to-date on which fire-regulation requirements apply both domestically and internationally.

Meticulously monitored production of fire-retardant lumber

The production process is unique. The plant is designed solely for Woodsafe and no other manufacturer can offer a similar end-product. The entire production system is thoroughly monitored, both externally via SITAC and internally via Arch Timber Protection, which has been working with fire-retardant protection for more than 30 years.

Woodsafe Timber Protection has a production licence from Arch Timber Protection. Their research, product development and independent test data are a vital resource in our production operation. If for some reason we cannot solve a problem ourselves, we can fall back on 30+ years of experience.
